About the Owner

Tionna M. Van Gundy, CSEP, is the owner and active managing partner/planner of Fueled Events. She founded the planning firm with a true desire to bring people together to experience interactive, passionate, heart-filling, and purpose-driven events! With a varied background in the events realm, Tionna has worked in destination management, hotel operations, food and beverage operations, association management, and conference planning. She is also the owner of Chicago's premier wedding planning firm, Wedicity Wedding Planning & Design. Her background in the events and service arenas allows her to lead the Fueled team with her very own passion, heart, and purpose!

Meet Our Event Coordinator

Safiyyah Asif Klayr | Event Coordinator

Safiyyah brings a detail-oriented, people-first approach to every event she touches. A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago with a degree in Business Administration and Management, she pairs strong organizational skills with a genuine passion for creating memorable celebrations.

With a background in hospitality and event coordination, Safiyyah began her journey with Wedicity Wedding Planning & Design as an intern and has since joined the Fueled Events team as an Event Coordinator. Through her experience, she has developed a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to bring an event together seamlessly, from the initial planning stages through execution. She thrives behind the scenes, coordinating vendor logistics, managing timelines, and ensuring every moving piece comes together as planned.

Whether she's working behind the scenes or on-site on event day, Safiyyah is committed to ensuring every detail is thoughtfully executed so clients can be fully present, enjoy their celebration, and experience their event exactly as they envisioned it.

Our mission is to support organizations and businesses that align with initiatives that are equal-opportunity across all races, sexes, religions, and backgrounds. We openly support the LGBTQ Community, the Black Lives Matter Movement, Equality and Women's Rights, while supporting Youth Development Programs and aiding in areas of low resources.

Purpose

Our purpose is to bring together the passion behind a project or movement with an organization's or business's mission and align those with high-impact experiential live events and high-quality results. We believe that when purpose meets professional execution, the impact is limitless.
